Often a Corporate body or a family will want to set up a charity to fund certain good causes, but starting up a new funding programme for local projects is challenging. There are issues about reaching the potential beneficiaries, setting up the assessments and processes, making decisions and getting the money out there and ensuring the projects deliver the right outcomes. The first years are slow.
