‘Hats off’ to Sharon Simpson at Calverton Finance – a small but quality finance business specialising in invoice discounting and factoring. After an urgent call late on a Friday afternoon from an (otherwise!) excellent client of mine, I put a call out to Sharon at 6:00pm on Friday. Within 3 working days she had in place a very bespoke facility, tailor made for the situation involved. Client was able to drawdown finance involving one debtor (so no concentration limit), a 12 week only commitment, a fixed fee with no separate interest charge and 120 day recourse. In the fashion business as well, which is not always easy. You don’t always want to be putting on the pressure to get such a deal agreed at short term – but when you do have to, it is good to know that there is a provider with such flexibility, strong processes and delivery standards.
